I Olive Sterry of Ledyard in the County of New London and State of Connecticut being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament, in manner and form as following viz. my will is that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid and discharged by my executor hereinafter named.

And all the rest and residue of property that I may die possessed of and that may remain after my just debts and funeral charges shall have been paid I give and bequeath to my daughter Parthena Sterry to be hers and at her disposal and I do hereby constitute and appoint Theophilus Avery 2d to be my Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others and former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

Signed, sealed, published and pronounced by the said Olive Sterry as her last will and testament before us who in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses on the day and year last above mentioned.

Know all men by these presents, that we Theophilus Avery 2nd & Samuel W Wood both of Ledyard in New London County & State of Connecticut are holden and stand firmly bound and obliged unto Christopher Newton Esq. Judge of the Court of Probate for the District of Ledyard
in the penal sum of one thousand dollars
To be paid to the said Judge
or to his certain Attorney or successor in said office
To the which payment well and truly to be made, we the said Theophilus Avery & Samuel W. Wood do bind ourselves, and each of us, our heirs, executors, and administrators, and each and every of them for, and in the whole sum aforesaid, firmly by these presents. Signed with our hands and sealed with our seals. Dated at Ledyard the 29th day of November Anno Domini 1838
The condition of this Obligation is such, That if the above bounden Theophilus Avery 2nd who is appointed and hath accepted of the trust of Executor of the last will and testament of Olive Sterry late of Ledyard deceased, shall well and truly execute said will and settle estate according to law, the provisions of said will and order of Court, within one year from the date hereof, then this obligation is to be void; but on default thereof, to remain and abide in full force, power and virtue.
