There is a reference in the index by Peter Shilham to the poor of the parish of St George the Martyr in 1833 (vol 589 & 733) as follows:  Elizabeth Sterry, Residence: 45 Castle St, Kent St, Age: 27, Children: 3:  2 boys and 1 girl: two of children are listed: Elizabeth aged 10 and  William aged 2, Notes: needlework, young child. Shared note
There is a death of a George on 10th Dec 1854 in a London Hospital.  He was a 40 yr old labourer whose death was the result of an accidental fall down a ship's hold. The informant was W. Baker, coroner of Chester Terrace, Regent's Park.(GRO Ref Whitechapel 1c 314 4th qtr 1854.) However, this George could not be the same Thomas George who married Elizabeth Unknown. His name is presumed to have been Thomas George rather than just George - as shown on both marriage certificates of his son George Thomas - because the baptisms of his son George Thomas and daughter Caroline have their father as Thomas.
