In the Name of God Amen I Zerviah Sterry of Preston in the County of New London in the Colony of Connecticut in New England Single woman being very sick and week in body but of perfect mind and memmory blessed be God calling to mind the mortality of my body & knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and I recommend my body to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial att the Decretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the Genarall Resur[r]ection I shall Receive the Same again by the mighty power of God. and as touching my worldy Estate that God has blessed me in this Life I give and bequeth in the folowing manner and form (after my Just Debts and funerla charges are paid)
Imprimis I give unto my Sister in Law Mary Starkwether my Grazett gowns
Item I give unto my Sister Hanah Huitt all the rest of my waring apparell.
Item I give my Son Timothy Herrick who is now a Child all the Rest of my Estate Money Bills Bonds Debts Dues & wages[?] that now is in my possesion or here after should or may be coming or payable unto me by any ways or means whatever both Reall and personall and it is my will that my Executors hereafter Named Shall take the aforesaid Estate that I have given to my Said Son Timothy Herrick into there hands and improve it for the advantage of my sd Son until he arives to the full age of twenty one years and then to be returned to him my said son and if he my sd Son shall not live to the age of twenty one years or dye and leive no Heirs then the Estate above given to him shall be equally divided betwixt my brothers and my sister. and I do likewise constitute make and ordain Joseph Kinnie and John Cooke both of Preston above sd to me my sole Executors of this my last will and testament. And I do hereby utterly disallow and revoke all othere Wills and bequeaths Ratty__[?] In witness where of I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the ninteenth day of July 1734: Signed Sealed Published and declared to be the last will and testament by her the said Zerviah Sterry in presence us Thomas Davison, Kezia Davison, Lydia Davison - Zerviah Sterry, her mark

Preston September the 19th 1734 then the within named Thomas Davison, Kezia Davison and Lydia Davison did all personally appear and make Oath that they did se the within subscriber Zerviah Sterry Sign and Seal the within writin Instrument and they all herd her Declare the same to be her will and testament and that in there Judgement shee was att the time in her perfect mind and Memmory and that they did all Sign thereunto as witnesses then in the presence of the sd Zerviah Sterry before me John Cooke Justice of peace

Apprised November the 22nd 1734 being under Oath for the service by us Thomas Rix, Thomas Davison

Joseph Kinni and John Cook Executors to the last will and testament of Zerviah Sterry late of Preston Dec'd appeared before a Court of Probate held in New London November 26th 1734 and made solemn oath that they have made a true presentment to the apprisers of all the Estate of the sd decd that has come to their knowledge and that if any thing more hereafter that is considerable appear to be her Estate, they will cause the same to be added to this Inventory.

December the 3rd 1740 then received of Joseph Kinnie of Preston the full sum of fourteen pouns nine shillings money on the account of what is due to me from the Estate of Zerviah Sterry late of said Preston Deceast I say received by me - Mehetabel Bloggtt
